Normally I find and post a great new song, perhaps a song by an independent artist that I've heard on one of my podcasts dedicated to such artists.
But today I have decided to post a classic--one of the best, most intense songs I've ever heard. This was before we knew what a nutjob Sinéad O'Connor was, of course, but a great song nonetheless.

Many years later I learn the inspiration for a song, in a podcast about Sinead's life, after her death in 2023. This song refers to the poem "No Second Troy" by William Butler Yeats. Perhaps Sinead is saying that she can't help herself, it is her nature to burn things when scorned. I'm not sure exactly. But knowing the reference adds a layer to this song that I was previously unaware of.
