Did you know that the Nirvana song "Polly" was based on a true story? Apparently it was. And I didn't even realize it until I saw this song covered by Amanda Palmer, until I watched this video.

Wow, that is a powerful and haunting song and video. Covers usually don't do the original justice, but I think this one does.
