One Night in Dublin, with Sara Lou

Oops, I said a while back that I was going to tell you about a great performance I saw in Dublin this past summer.  Well, I completely forgot about that ... until now.

I saw Sara Lou playing at The Hub in Crumlin, Dublin.  Monday night, 9:30p, July 16, 2012.  Went until about 11:30p.  Went with Pavel, a co-worker I talked into going.  Met Pete (from Australia) and Paul (a regular at The Hub), sitting with us in the front row.  Very small audience.  Didn't seem like the rest of the bar clientele were there to see her.

Song list:
Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash
You're So Vain - Carly Simon
Yellow - Coldplay (got a partial video of this)
These Boots Are Made for Walkin' - Nancy Sinatra
Linger - Cranberries (her best song of the night but my video recording failed - damnit!)
Jar of Hearts - Christina Perri (beautiful song, beautiful, I hadn't heard it before)
Black Horse And The Cherry Tree - KT Tunstall (wonderful version)
Jackson (San Quentin) - June Carter & Johnny Cash
Use Somebody - Kings of Leon
The A Team - Ed Sheeran (unbelievably beautiful song, GREAT rendition!)
Need I tell you that Sara did an amazing version of this song?  Picture a beautiful Irish female voice singing these lyrics.  Now imagine something way better than that.  In a tiny club, where you have a front row seat.  On your third or fourth Jameson.  The night couldn't have been better.  Well, I guess it could have been a little better.  :)   But it was just one of those moments in my life I'll remember always.
For You - Sara Lou (new song from her upcoming album)
Dreams - Fleetwood Mac (great rendition of this song)
Yesterday - The Beatles (Pavel didn't like her version of this song much)
Your Song - Elton John
Hey, Soul Sister - Train
I Can't Help Falling in Love With You - Elvis (encore)

Just a fabulous night.

Oh, almost forgot one thing.  Pavel took a picture of Sara and me after the show.  Yeah, she's not quite as tall as I am.
