Shura - Just Once Lyrics

I’ve lost count
Of how many times we disagreed
But it’s the third time
We fought together this week.
Baby, it’s nothing,
Maybe I just need time on my own.

PRE-CHORUS:
Just once
I’m gonna go get drunk.

CHORUS:
If you get my name wrong
I won’t get pissed off
Cause I wish I was somebody else
You know nothing about me
I know nothing about you
But maybe the question (?)

Have you ever been lost?
We could get lost
I wanna get lost
Have you ever been lost?
We could get lost
I wanna get lost

I’m not sure
If I’m just thinking about it too much,
Or if I’m just looking
For an excuse for us to break up.
Maybe I want to, maybe I need to
If I do any I’ll tell you that I wanna let you go.

PRE-CHORUS:
Just once
I’m gonna go get drunk.

CHORUS:
If you get my name wrong
I won’t get pissed off
Cause I wish I was somebody else
You know nothing about me
I know nothing about you
But maybe the question (?)

Have you ever been lost?
We could get lost
I wanna get lost
Have you ever been lost?
We could get lost
I wanna get lost

CHORUS:
If you get my name wrong
I won’t get pissed off
Cause I wish I was somebody else.
You know nothing about me
I know nothing about you
But maybe the question (?)

Have you ever been lost?
We could get lost.
I wanna get lost.

Have you ever been lost?
We could get lost.
I wanna get lost.
Have you ever been lost?
We could get lost.
I wanna get lost. (I wanna get lost)
Have you ever been lost?
We could get lost.
I wanna get lost.

Song of the Day: Shura - Touch

This song came courtesy of YouTube, one of the songs recommended for me based on other songs I've listened to and liked in the past.  Looks like YouTube's predictions are pretty good!

Quote of the Day: Emily Dickinson, on Possibilities

Good quote to start the new year.
Not knowing when the dawn will come
I open every door.
― Emily Dickinson

I think that's a great attitude to start the year.

Exercise

Saw this article and I totally agree.

"6 Hard Truths About Exercising"

As I get older (sigh) I find I need to exercise more, to keep playing hockey at a decent level.  I've found all the things mentioned in the article to be true.  I joined a gym, and go at my usual time whenever I'm in town.  They track our progress.  They make us do the exercises/movements/lifting mentioned in the article, and many more.  We repeat certain workouts every few months, to see if we're making progress.  We learn new skills along the way (handstand holds against the walls, kipping pull-ups!).  I'm not sure that we start slow, but we do work a lot of form with light weight when people first join the gym, which is a way of starting slow I suppose.

Lots of different types of workouts out there, I wouldn't presume to preach about which is best.  Crossfit works for me, to keep me in shape for hockey.  But you need to find what works for you.

Schedule it.  Do it, whatever you choose to do.

Lyrics, from AZLyrics.com:

"Winter"

I should know
Who I am by now
I walk
The record stands somehow
Thinking of winter

Your name is the splinter inside me
While I wait

And I remember the sound
Of your November downtown
And I remember the truth
A warm December with you
But I don't have to make this mistake
And I don't have to stay this way
If only I would wait

The walk has all been cleared by now
Your voice is all I hear somehow
Calling out Winter

Your voice is the splinter inside me
While I wait

I remember the sound
Of your November downtown
And I remember the truth
A warm December with you
But I don't have to make this mistake
And I don't have to stay this way
If only I would wait

I could have lost myself
In rough blue waters in your eyes
And I miss you still

I remember the sound
Of your November downtown
And I remember the truth
A warm December with you
But I don't have to make this mistake
And I don't have to stay this way
If only I would wait

Quote of the Day: Stanley Kubrick, on Meaning and Fulfillment

“The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent; but if we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death — however mutable man may be able to make them — our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light.”
- Stanley Kubrick, interviewed by Eric Nordern, Playboy (September 1968)

"However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light."  So true.
