Song of the Day: Rosalia - Pienso En Tu Mira (And YouTube, you know me so well!)

So I was looking at YouTube on my TV the other day, and it had a list of songs recommended for me.  I hit "play" on the pre-made mix it had for me and you know what?  It was really good.  Scary to say, but YouTube seems to know me really well.

Song of the Day: Greg Holden - Nothing Changes

Not sure if I've posted a song by Greg Holden before.  I'd never have known about him, except he opened for Ingrid Michaelson at a concert I saw years ago.

Lots of his songs have upbeat messages, and this one is no different.  Sounds a little depressing: "...keep doing the work and nothing changes."  But if you listen a bit longer you'll hear: "...keep doing the work and nothing changes easy."  That one word changes everything, I think.  Just my opinion.

Here's a song from one of my favorites, Amanda Palmer.  This song is so simple, and yet .... I can't stop listening.  So direct and profound.  I can't stop listening.  It's a long song.  But as the reviews say, grab a tissue and listen.

Song of the Day: Sasha Sloan - Older

I love this song.  As a father to two beautiful daughters, and as a son with some fucked up parents, this song really touches me.  Sad and true.  Maybe it hits too close to home.  Regardless, I like the message.  I haven't shared it with my daughters yet, as I type this, but I surely will.  I sincerely hope they love it as much as I do.  I hope you do, too.
